Guest Posted September 21, 2001 Report Share Posted September 21, 2001 I have a pair of AR-25's that I purchased used back around 1978 and have recently re-foamed the woofers. Being an AR fan since the mid 60's I'd like to know a bit more about these speakers-when did Teledyne take over the original company and how did the speakers of that time period (I.E. the AR-25's) compare in sound quality to the older classics (AR-3A, AR-2Ax, AR-4 etc.)? Would they be an appropriate rear channel match for my AR-3a mains? Anything special to watch out for in the way of power handling or maintenance?
