hi all,

i have a pair of legacy IIs which need new woofers. unlike some of the folks around here, i'm not awfully particular about how close the match is - corollary to which, i want to find a good deal on woofers that are merely similar. i hope this isn't seen as heretical, but at least i am conscious that my speakers are of the less classic variety.

are these the woofers which will necessarily require an adapter plate? the four-point mounting pattern looks like a normal square to me.

any clues you all can throw me about the power handling, frequency response, construction of these 10" woofers would be appreciated.

cheers,

aaron.

hi vern,

i usually buy speakers from parts express, which has a magnificent selection. so you're right, i should be able to find one, but i'm trying to narrow down the choices by learning a little about the originals.

thanks,

aaron.
