Guest Twebbz
I think it's about time I replace my '80s vintage large Advents. The surrounds on the second set of woofers are just starting to separate from the cones. I used a little bit of rubber cement to patch them up. I'm thinking about replacing them with either Klipsch RB75s or Paradigm Studio 40s. Does anyone have any experience with these? I've not had a chance to audition them. I like pop/dance/rock music. I'm using a Yamaha RX-595 receiver, also 80's vintage. Thanks, Rick
Guest SpruceMoose
if the advents are in good shape otherwise, just buy a set of replacement foam surrounds. 2 hours and they will sound new again! if not, buy what you want, and mail the advents to me!!! sm.ps: of course, you could use the drivers to make a set of custom speakers, like i did:
