Hi,

This is my first post. This site was recommended by someone I know. I really like it. I have a question concerning my model 6 speakers.

I purchased a pair in decent shape. I had seen another pair for sale

that had the screw in woofers. Those were shot. The speakers I purchased

sounded great. I bought them to replace a woofer in my model 5 speakers.

I have a mold problem on the one woofer.

Not knowing the epoxy problem I have read about here I cut the grill

cloth on one of the speakers and saw the epoxy mount. My question is

how could I replace the grill cloth on the speaker. I can see it is glued around the back of the mounting baffel.

Thanks

If you bought a Model Six woofer as a replacement for a Model Five Woofer, you'll have a problem because the Model five woofer is different.....speaker frame is 1/2 inch larger in diameter on the Five, it's a bigger speaker, larger magnet, etc. You can use a Woofer from a Model Twenty Three, it's the larger type.

Replacing the grill cloth on early Model Six's involves removing the baffle board, these speakers are a problem. See the post about getting inside the early Model Six.
