Andy
Noticed it's missing from the list, circa mid 1970s,two way system with 10 inch cloth suround woofer, vinyl cabinet. KLH was loosing it, this speaker sounds pretty good, but the cabinet is a far cry from the glory days (thinner fiber board) despite that this Model 56 was still made in Cambridge! Must have been one of the last cloth woofers.
dynaco_dan
Hi Andy;I'm late but I will add it to the KLH spreadsheet I have been fiddling with this last year, off and on.Thank you for drawing our attention to this missing link.Do you have any more details to add?Tweeter size, crossover components, crossover point, size and weight or photos please. Andy
Hi Vern,I've since sold the pair I had and have no specs or crossover details. I'm pretty sure the woofer and tweeter were the same as the models 17,20 and 33. The date of the 56 may be in the 1973-75 era, which numerically fits in with other KLH components...receiver models 50,52,55 & 57. Having the below average vinyl cabinets, I doubt many of these speakers were sold. As I mentioned, the speakers did sound nice though.
