Guest eman845
I have a pair of AR3a's that have been with me from brand new out of the box. The sound is awsome, exceprt for the typical crossover pot noise. I am downsizing to a condo, and do not really have a place for them. Will I find anything smaller that will sound as good, and is there a market for these classics?
Guest tom h
IMHO, don't sell them !!! The 3a is one of the best sounding speakers ever made.Just how small is your new condo? I would get rid of furniture and/or re-decorate before selling the 3a's ;-)But in worst case, there is a healthy market for the classic AR speakers, just check on Ebay. After 35+ years, I would think the driver's compliant edge/surround would have disintegrated, but the surround can be replaced/repaired at relatively modest cost. Guest viscommbozak
For the size ... never! I have a set of Bozak Concert Grands. I just love them at 52" high. My brother has a AR-3A DVD-Audio system. It's sound approaches the Grands in 1/4 the space. I would not sell them. They are heavy but sweet!Best regards.Viscommbozak
