Guest pe3046
Hi, I just bought a pair of ar91 speakers for $20. The woofers do not seem to be working, I took them out and see tears in the surrounds. My question, while they were connected I touched the surround and the subwoofer did start to work but as soon as I let go it stopped playing. Do you think a simple refoam is all it needs or are the woofers blown? One of the mid-drivers cone is pushed in, but it seems to play fine. Reason being that if I have to buy new drivers they are almost the same as price as buying a pair of ar303's.

Perhaps a bad voice coil. The cones should move whether there is foam rot or not and not while being 'touched'.>Do you think a simple>refoam is all it needs or are the woofers blown?
