Guest jedetzel
I just purchased my 3rd set of AR3 Hi Rez speakers with Sunfire amp powered 15 inch subwoofer. The guy I bought them from on eBay, said they were tested and working.I've got problems, One speaker blows the fuses on my Krell amp. Both speakers no longer have standby mode for the Sunfire amps, leaving the amps ON all the time.Is there any one out there who has a schematic for the AR Sunfire 300 watt amp to try to repair these speakers? Is there an AR repair specialist in the Central Florida area?I have contacted several speaker repair shops, Thomson electronics, amplifier repair shops. They all say they can work on them if I can find a schematic and a parts source even though none has had AR/Sunfire experience. (They didn't exactly inspire confidence)Any help would be appreciated.jedetzel
mluong303
You may want to call AB Tech Services for this. They may have service stock Amps to sell to you. They also have an in house service department and maybe able to fix your problems? You just have to call them for advice. They are very busy most of the time but they do answer phone calls.Minh Luong
Guest jedetzel
Thanks M Luong. I have talked to AB Tech and found them busy, but knowledgable as you suggested. Thanks for the best advice I've had on these speakers in 2 weeks.jedetzel
Guest Bret
Just a thought, but the folks at Sunfire can be pretty helpful. Since they built the amps, they ought to have service information.Or did you already try them and they refused to help?Bret
