Guest Bret Posted October 12, 2005 Report Share Posted October 12, 2005 Does anyone know about what frequencies were affected by the acoustic blanket or foam defraction rings and at approximately what distance from the driver?I'm wondering if a speaker like an AR-17/18/4/6 might benefit from an application of "transmission line felt" around the tweeters to the extremes of the cabinet face. It couldn't hurt to stop the cabinet from re-radiating, could it? Is that one of the changes you hear when you apply the grills (a smaller reflection)?
