Double AR4 system

Having some 4x speakers with trashed cabinets I decided to make cabinets for a double system. Basicly each cabinet with 2 compartments to original specs and reuse the original components of 2 speakers. Only seeing the insides of maybe a dozen AR speakers in the past I now see what everyone is saying about using whatever is handy. Three of four speakers use a condenser model 2736 and the other x-2717. The later a three wire with the third wire cut off at the wax. Also three of the four inductor coils have a handwritten 4 on them with one saying 5. Each pair is within a hundred on the serial number with each set only 4000 apart. Was this common only in the earlier models or did AR continue this practice through out it's history?
