One of my favorite places. My wife and I stop by about once every couple of weeks. I’ve got some nice buys, like a Motorola 3 channel tube console, and some Heathkit test equipment.

I was thinking the same thing. I’m definitely going to try the pair out and see.

Hi, New member here. I’ve been buying, repairing, reselling vintage audio equipment for last 6-7 years. No expert, but love learning. Both tube and solid state gear. I have accumulated a fair amount of vintage speakers, KLH 5, 17. Ar2a, dynaco a25vw’s, and a few others. Today I came across a listing at a local thrift shop. Just a picture of 2 AR speakers. I was thinking they were a pair of AR3’s. I called, told them I was interested and headed over. Got them for $80. They had them waiting and helped me load them in my truck. I looked at the back of one and it was an ar-3….score! When I got home and unloaded them I found that one was an ar-3 and the other was an ar-1. Both look to be in original clean, unmolested condition. Did some homework on the ar-1 and verified that it has the altec 755a loudspeaker. I’ll post pics below. My question is what are these worth and where would be the best place to sell them if I decide to? Thanks, Ed
