its a wooden speaker cab. Ill have to think about it. Thanks for the help! IM sort of pissed at ebay with their monopolistic practices. The little embedded fees, etc. The gotcha fees. Small sales arent worth it half the time

yep. they are deteriorated. Shame. These are not the better of the advents either. I got these speakers for free. I dont want to lose money on them. Should I just chuck them?

is there an affordable amplifier that could hook up to the 2w's easily that anyone can recommend?

I have a pair of advent 2/w I dont know how to hook them up. I have a pretty crappy amplifier at the moment. It looks like I have to power them somehow. Do I have to plug them into my wall socket with an old stripped lamp cord? That sounds dangerous, lol. Or do these get power from an amp? I guess I need a new (old) amplifier. Forgive my ignorance
