13hm13 Posted October 8 Report Share Posted October 8 I just got done re-foaming the woofers on the PS-9's . All went well and I listened to them for the first time , using music and freq sweep tone, on a Sony TA-X22 int amp. They image very well. But when I A/B'd them with my Advent 4's, the Advents had significantly more extended high end. I did test out the orig caps on the PS-9 xovers , and they all are almost "like new". So with the DA-PS9's, I'm not sure whether it's dried ferro-fluid and/or worn off doping on the soft tweeter. (I did have to do the Shellac mod on some Tonegen tweeters, for KEF C-60s, and that worked very well; high end restored ) .
