Apologize if this has already been discussed. I've owned a pair of New Large Advents (A3) since 1978. Amazingly, the original woofer foam is in perfect condition, and they perfectly pass the press/rebound test. But after the speakers were stored some years ago in an unheated house up at 7,000 ft. in the northern Rockies, both tweeters died. I replaced them with the surface mounted versions from SimplySpeakers. All seemed well. But I just noticed for the first time that the tweeter cone actually contacts the back side of the grills. I've never discerned any sound distortion from that, BUT....
Any suggestions for correction, other thoughts?

I no longer have the paperwork, but I'm fairly certain those (the P85C00019) are the ones I used. The appearance, anyway is identical to what I installed. But they protrude outward enough to lightly contact the grills.
