THE JENSEN ADVENT CABINETS I AM WORKING WITH ARE THE MODEL #4002 CABINETS. SINCE I AM HAVING SUCH A HARD TIME FINDING USED DOME TWEETERS FOR REPLACEMENTS, I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO JUST USE THE OLD SCHOOL FRIED EGG TWEETERS AND THEIR ORIGINAL CROSSOVERS. SO, YOU SAY NO GO WITH THAT IDEA!!! ANY SUGGESTIONS TO KEEP THEM IN PLAY, SINCE I HAVE A SET THAT JUST NEEDS THE SURROUNDS REPLACED TO MAKE A FOURSOME. THANKS!!! Posted November 11, 2017 Report Share Posted November 11, 2017 Since the 4002 replaced the Advent/1, which used the same drivers as the New Advent, you could use your woofers and get New Advent tweeters along with their crossovers. The New Advent tweeters are still fried eggs but are mounted flush with the cabinets and have the metal screens cut away on the sides. You would then basically have a pair of Advent/1s.
