redpackman
It looks like an AR-2ax, and the badges attached to it identify it as such, but the tweeters have rear connectors and they are more flush mounted than any/most of the pictures of AR-2ax I've seen. Is this a late or early or radically modified AR-2ax or some other speaker?
ra.ra
Definitely a late model 2ax, and since there is no evidence of front-mounted tweeter terminals, I'd suspect you can consider these as fully original speakers. That same (rear-wired) tweeter was found in virtually all of the Euro AR-5's and 2ax's.
lARrybody
Quote There were some with back wired tweeters late in production. I have seen this in AR5's but not so far in 2ax's. Now i guess i can say I have seen 2ax backwired tweeters.
genek
2ax, 5 and 3a speakers produced after AR moved to Norwood have backwired drivers. My 1975 2ax's look just like the OP's.
