DavidDru
Went to pick up some AR9 drivers at a local sellers house yesterday and he had a pair of 230's in really good condition he is wanting to sell. Researching them they look like pretty good speakers.
bonevoyage
For what it's worth, I have had a pair of Avid 330s for 30 years and I think that they are terrific. I haven't had any experience with 230s, but I should think that the quality is equal to the 330s, on a somewhat smaller scale.

baco99
Hello! I am hoping that a current Avid 230/330 owner can help me with a little project. I am looking for any part numbers or model numbers for the tweeter and midrange for a restoration project. They look to me like Vifa, but was hoping for more detail. Thanks! ra.ra
No part numbers mentioned, but some good info on 230 and 330 in this brochure, which states that "Avid is one of the few loudspeaker manufacturers that produce its own driver units". http://www.classicspeakerpages.net/IP.Board/index.php?/topic/4123-avid-brochure/
Pete B
The tweeter and mid look to have roundover style waveguides that I've mainly seen made popular in the last 10-20 years. What year is that model from?
