valkyrie
What is the residual minimum resistance on an AR-2ax adjustment L-pads? Assuming the pots are "wide open", end of travel, how much resistance is still in-line with the circuit?
owlsplace
Wide open the pot should be zero resistance if the contact points are clean. For the L-pad you may want to review the AR-3 Restoration doc in the library for proper operation. Rogerr

At that setting there is still, however, 15 +/- ohms remaining in parallel when using the original pots. A modern L-pad, when used without an added parallel resistor, provides zero resistance in series and parallel when maxed. This results in more current to the driver.
