quadropenta
I have a pair of PSB Alpha A/V speakers rated at 6 ohms. Every receiver I have requires speakers rated at a minimum of 8 ohms. Most receivers seem to require this. Is it OK to use them? I don't want to damage my electronics. thanks
DavidDru
Should be fine. Just check that your receiver isn't getting too hot when being pushed. You didn't mention what receiver so hard to be much more definitive.

DavidDru
Feel free to post the specs of the receiver you choose and let folks chime in here if it makes you feel more comfortable. Most of the time the only way you can hurt speakers is be delivering bad signal/sound to it at high volumes from a receiver/amp that is weak, bad etc. Just be smart about it.
