tvdantv
Two distinct designs, both from T830 pairs. Can anyone identify which is the older and newer designs? What are the sonic characteristics of each? I have A60 Series II, T830, T930, and T1030 pairs in various systems thru the house. And have built a custom C830 center channel from a donor T830 to fill out the home theater properly. It's a 20+ year love affair w/ this tweeter and acoustic suspension, and I learn something new about them every couple of years.Thanks.
fullvolume
I have a pair of T830's here that I just picked up all apart, there's a stamp on each crossover that says March 15 and March 2 of 1985, these those in your second pic, with blue caps. I think the speakers were bought in 1987 so I'd guess that the second version is older. Do you happen to know which wires go to which speaker? Judging by just looking at the circuit, I'm guessing that the red wire is for the woofer, white for the midrange, and the yellow for the tweeter? I actually need another set of cross overs to complete a second set I've got here, I've got all the speakers but the crossovers were missing when I got them. nosubs
Fullvolume, I posted on your other thread. You are correct about the color-to-speaker connections. My crossovers resemble the ones with more yellow caps and my speakers are pre-series II, but purchased in 1993.
