MikeF Posted January 22, 2013 Report Share Posted January 22, 2013 Any opinions or experience with center channel makes/models that match well with AR94sx's?Using the 94sx's as fronts and for stereo driven with vintage Pioneer SX-1010 amp of Yamaha pre-pro. I've always like the way the 94's sound with the SX-1010. I would really like to get into new AR's for LCR (floorstanding fronts) but I've been away from the market for a few years and not sure what AR is offering in $1,500 for LCR or around $350 for a center channel. I read that someone is using Paradigm CC-170 as center with unspecified AR model fronts. I thought I would come here for some good AR advice before I decide what to do. michiganpat Posted January 23, 2013 Report Share Posted January 23, 2013 there are no more AR speakers, ever since Recoton went belly up almost a decade ago....if you want more modern AR speakers, I love my 312HO's and CS25HO centerif you want to stay vintage, I'd look for some AR18,18S,18B,or Rock Partners for the center and rears...they essentially use the same drivers and voicing as your 94's...
