ironlake Posted January 11, 2012 Author Report Share Posted January 11, 2012 using a 1.5 battery I found that the o post is the negative, cone went in and the 1 is the positive cone went out. Carlspeak Posted January 11, 2012 Report Share Posted January 11, 2012 If you want to hook up the neg. wire from the amp/receiver to the "0" post, that's fine. Just be sure to do the same thing on both speakers. Tha'ts all that really matters. I've taken freq. response measurement with 3a's hooked up both ways and it doesn't make any difference because the music signal from upstream is AC, which is bi-directional, whereas the DC you used (battery) is uni-directional.
