fred
are there ways to improve the sonic performance of the lst loudspeaker?
Carlspeak
If you have a capacitor and ESR meter, it's worth testing the caps in your LST to ensure they are still on target and replace any that measure beyond 10% of their labeled value and beyond 0.5 ohm ESR. Pete B
I've suggested that the auto-transformer can be eliminated which was later confirmed by this letter from Roy Allison where he states that Tri-amping is possible:http://www.classicspeakerpages.net/IP.Board/index.php?showtopic=4198&hl=allisonSome of my thoughts:http://www.classicspeakerpages.net/IP.Board/index.php?showtopic=2280&view=findpost&p=64275http://www.classicspeakerpages.net/IP.Board/index.php?showtopic=1875&st=0I've not yet worked on a pair so I have no way of testing these ideas.
