Guest
I know this has been generally covered here, but I'd like a tad more info on this subject.I gather that the AR3a has the woofer wired out-of-phase with respect to the midrange, but I am unclear as to the phase relationship between the tweeter and the other drivers. Only one of the schematics that includes all the drivers on this site seems to show the actual polarities of the drivers -- the schematic athttp://www.arsenal.net/speakers/ar/ar-3a/AR3aXorig.gifhas a dot next to one side of each driver, presumably indicating (+?) polarity, but by my reading of this schematic, all three drivers are wired in phase. Can anyone clear this up for me?Thanks ----Daniel
kkantor
Yes, the original 3a drivers were wired in-phase at DC, as is shown.-ken

When the phase-inversion was later added, was the woofer reversed (so the mid and tweet remained in-phase) or was the mid reversed (so the woofer and tweet remained in-phase)?Thanks ----Daniel
