administrator
I'm going to post some interesting comments from Steve F.'s note to me when he shipped over the brochures:"I heard the Limited 3's during a BAS (Boston Audio Society) tour of AR in April 1993. John Buzotta did the design and spoke about the speaker. The woofer was made by Tonegen, but AR was thinking about resuming driver production if the Limited and Classic gave them a big sales boost. Unfortunately, they didn't. Shortly afterwards, AR pulled up stakes and retreated to California, thus ending the original New England speaker tenure."Mark
kkantor
What AR was REALLY thinking, at that time... to the extent that I can speak for it...We have been purchased by International Jensen, who has one of the largest speaker plants on earth located in North Carolina. It makes a speaker every 3.5 seconds, day in and day out. It supplies Ford and Honda. If we could just get our sales volume up to a few thousand units a month, we could buy this woofer for $8. -ken >"I heard the Limited 3's during a BAS (Boston Audio Society) >tour of AR in April 1993.
