Guest SteveG
Somebody named "candyman" gotr a pretty good deal on a pair of apparently excellent condition LST's earlier today. $399 on ebay in a buy it now. I won't be surprised to possibly see these listed again with an open ended price. Guest OpusX
That somebody named 'candyman' was actually me and the Ebay nickname is 'caddyman6', but no offense taken. Was a case of 'being in the right place at the right time' and 'good things come to those who wait'. Have waited a long, long time to get a set of LSTs. As I have posted in another thread - first heard them in 1977 when I was overseas, but couldn't afford them. These will be added to the other AR speakers I own - MSTs, AR-11s and AR-90s. Need to add a pair of AR-9s to the collection and I can die a happy man. As far seeing this pair come up for bid again.....an even lower chance than that of Nebraska playing for the National Championship in football again this year. Have four sons and all of them are going to need something to listen to as they head off from home......
Guest SteveG
Peter---Congratulations. You are so right about right place right time. Glad to hear these are going to good hands (ears) where they will be appreciated. Glad particularly that you have known of these speakers since 1977 and now will be able to scratch the itch. I don't think you will be disappointed. Looks like these are an excellent pair in great shape. But wow you really did get a great deal. LST's for the price of 3a's. Hope you will report on them when you take possession. I too first saw (heard) LSTs in 1977 or there about, but was lucky enough to find a used pair a year later locally in the newspaper (pre ebay). I have never stopped enjoying them. SteveG
