Guest John Faulkner
I accidently broke one of the wires to an AR-3a dome tweeter. It broke off after entering the gob of orange foam at the base of the dome. I was able to carefully dissect the foam away to get at the tiny wire, maybe 0.5cm long. Then, miracle-of-miracles, I was able to solder a new copper wire to it and it at least make a noise with a "battery test". I am wondering if I should try to replace the gob of orange foam, and with what. If I do replace it it will be again hard to find the wire if it comes loose again, but what will the dome do without one of the three gobs of foam around it's circumference? Any suggestions?
