Cleaning Speakers

I have a pair of AR 91's that have been in storage for about 8 years. They were put away when my kid blew up my receiver and haven't been used since. Unfortunately, the storage wasn't ideal, and aside from deteriorated foam, there is some mildew on the cones.

Questions:

1) Is there a preferred method of cleaning them?

2) What is the likelihood of damage to the electronics?

3) How involved is it to replace the foam?

4) How involved is it to re-cone? (Or, is this the same thing?)

I don't replace the surrounds myself. I think it is something left to those who do it day in and day out, but if your up to a challenge check out this link http://www.decware.com/surround.htm
