Andy Posted November 29, 2007 Report Posted November 29, 2007 Should have used it! 99% of the people mispronounce his name.Very clever, they should have used the phrase, but many people would apply the mispronounced Kloss name to the phrase and been confused as to what it meant. Maybe just a bit above the many consumers in the 1950's.Henry did have a way with words, a favorate of mine is when the Model Eight was introduced he was quoted saying, "It's a lot of money for a radio.....but it's a lot of radio for the money".The 1996 Lander inteview with Kloss is very interesting, Henry spoke of himself in the third person and it seems a bit odd at first, but once you've it read, it's very clear and unlike most other interviews of well known people where the focus is on the individual, Kloss puts the focus on the the companies and their products. It's almost like he didn't want the credit he so surely deserved. One of the more interesting and important individuals of audio history !Andy
ToastedAlmond Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 My friend Ray once said to Mr. Kloss, "I have a house full of speakers because of you!" His IMMEDIATE response? "At least I made them small!"
