Guest Dake13
I'm looking for advice. This essentially has to do with your opinions on the importance of Snell's matching (and re-coning).I have a pair of Snell EIIs I'm going to be selling in the near future. They have new Vifa drivers as of about 3 1/2 years ago. The drivers cost something like $250. I also have a pair of JIIs in a second system, which I'm keeping. The JIIs are early models and have the old SEAS drivers. The SEAS drivers were re-coned by Bill LeGrand at Miller Sound a few months ago. They sound pretty good. The question is, if you were me, would you pull the new drivers from the EIIs and put them in the JIIs? They are virtually identical, and they were expensive. And whatever pair matching I had is already out the window with the re-coning. On the other hand, the SEAS drivers are rare, and more or less original. Thanks for any opinions,Dake

Yeah, I can snip and solder, and I guess that's the reasonable thing to do.
