paolippe
Recently I picked up 2 CIZEK Model One for 50 euros and I patiently began the process of restoration (I still have got a pair of CIZEK one in my HIFI room that sing wondrfully). The woofers needed refoam and spiders reconstruction; the GREAT work has been made by an expert in Cattolica (The Incredible Sandro Seta!). The foam baffle was destroyed and the cross-over was "flying" inside the cabinet. Moreover, there was a strange and not particularly friendly smell coming from the inside of the cabinet and diffused to the fibreglass. The walnut was in decent conditions with minor alterations and some little scratches. Thus I found professional foam and cutted 2 rectangular pieces for the baffle, making the holes for the drivers. Then I painted brown the foam baffle with a spray enamel warnish and I glued it to the baffle. I replaced the whole fibreglass (dangerous if touched or inhaled due to potential cancerogenous activity) with professional foam and I fixed the cross-over to the internal basis of the cabinet with Bostik glue. In order to guarantee the adhesion of the cover panel to the baffle I fixed with little spikes velcro to the whole perimeter of the baffle. Before connecting the drives to the terminals I treated the electronic components of the CIZEK one with special spray for circuits. Finally I connected to the cross-over terminals and fixed the speakers to the baffle. And here You can see the result.Have a GREAT Sunday!!!Paolohttp://www.classicspeakerpages.net/dc/user_files/1343.jpghttp://www.classicspeakerpages.net/dc/user_files/1344.jpghttp://www.classicspeakerpages.net/dc/user_files/1345.jpghttp://www.classicspeakerpages.net/dc/user_files/1346.jpghttp://www.classicspeakerpages.net/dc/user_files/1347.jpg
