dynaco_dan
Hi there;A little Allison trivia.I have been thinking about writing this, for a while now.Roy F Allison's early speakers used the same, AR-2a, early AR-2AX and AR-3, brass spring loaded posts, to connect the tweeter wires, on the front of the enclosures. This certainly was a secure method of attachment.Much more professional looking, than the later, AR solder type connections.Brass finish was used then, and today, only chrome plated ones are available. They are worth their weight in gold, today. Guest abobotek
Does anyone know if the posts gold plated? I have a pair of Allison Fours and a pair of Allison Ones from the 1970s. Their postsare all still shiney. Does anyone have corrosion problems with theirs?
JKent
>They are worth their weight in gold, today. If I replace my old dead tweeters with something new, maybe I should remove those brass posts and sell them on ebay! Do you really think they are valuable Vern?cheersKent
