I have a pair of Advent "Baby Advent II" speakers that I purchased from a Sears in 1991. Although they sound good to me I can't help wondering how they would compare to a "modern" 2-way ported bookself system. Does anybody have these or have any experience with them? Guest 2Ear Posted January 29, 2007 Report Share Posted January 29, 2007 As far as the "modern" speakers - there is lots of crap out there. I've heard several of the new speakers and am not impressed. They add a lot of coloration to the sound and have many peaks & valleys in their frequency response curves. Your BAs are better then most of what is out there today (without spending a fortune).
