Andy
I just cleaned of 20 years of dust of a pair of 1965 KLH model nineteens from my collection, I had forgotten what agreat little speaker this is. 8 x 8 x 14 with two 4" drivers and it's a ported system. the sound is very ballancedThis was one of the few early KLH models that was not a acoustic suspension type. Other KLH models get more attention in the collector world but these are great for a small room hooked up to a lower powered tube amp......gives a Booker T & the MG's album an authentic sound! They even have that 'box' look of the model six, just 1/3 the size.
soundminded
....Phillips "Little David."A very small three way loudspeaker it was internally triamplified. In one of the most amazing audio demonstrations I have ever witnessed, at a trade show in New York, in a very large room, two monster speaker enclosures were playing jazz at quite high volume and very accurately and cleanly. Once the room had filled and the demonstration began, the presenter turned on lights inside the enclosures to reveal that they were actually nothing more than enormous empty cloth enclosed shells with a small speaker in each one sitting on the back wall. And astounding and utterly surprising demo. I have a friend who claims to still have the original demo pair among his collection.
