Guest kevemaher
Does anyone know what the woofer self-inductance is? This is the so-called Le parameter. I am thinking of trying a Zobel network to flatten the woofer impedance above resonance so I can use an Usher tweeter with a simple RC Butterworth HPF. Crossover would be somewhere between 1.4 and 2.4 KHz. The AR mid and tweeter would be disconnected.Any other electrical and mechanical parameter would also be appreciated, such as resonant frequency, self capacitance, series resistance, etc...Thanks,Kevin
Carlspeak
I've taken some WT2 measurements on 2ax woofers I have owned (cloth surround) and refoamed which are the later version. The cloth surround models have an avg. Le of .5 mH, Qts 0.6, Re 7 ohms, Vas 3.6 cu. ft.The refoamed model had a Le of .1 mH, Qts 0.88, Re 3.9 ohms and Vas of 3.5 cu. ft.It's all about the musicCarlCarl's Custom Loudspeakers
