stan461
I searched Audiogon for a while and was able to buy a decent set of AR-3a's for $200.00. Way better looking than the guy posting the AR3's with a "buy it now" for $399.00 (plus Shipping & handling!!!). My buddy picked up a pair of AR3a's in decent shape for $10.00 at a garage sale. If you look around your local neighborhood and have patience (which I myself am still working on)you can get some great deals. Don't envy him/her. They are going to go for their lungs and at the same time they are driving up the price of "old" (yeah I know its called vintage) equipment thru the roof. Save your money. Wait till our economy goes into the crapper and you could get this stuff for next to nothing !!!
Guest Nigel
Regarding AR90 speakers, I was rather disappointed at the two places I listened to them. I found the AR9 to be excellent, and I like the AR91 (and many others) but the AR90 just did not sound "right" to me. Are they more sensitive to position/set up than the 9 and 91?Nigel
