Guest Stevey88
The woofers are clearly marked with a red " + " underneath the wire mesh . They are not always on the same side of the solder taps. I have one that has positive on the right solder tag and one woofer has the positive on the left. I am wondering if there are markings for the mid and tweeter for the positive and negative.
Carlspeak
You may have to remove the mid and tweeter to check their polarity markings. Some have them on the front as a + or - or a dot.Woofer polarity can vary depending on how a batch of voice coils were wound. You can confirm that with a D cell battery. The positive side of the battery when hooked up to the appropriate woofer terminal will raise the cone and vice-versa. Mids and tweeter are harder to check. It's all about the musicCarlCarl's Custom Loudspeakers
