Guest ed426
Hi group,Does anyone know what value that unmarked series coil in the AR 9 woofer section. I know the other two coils are 10 mh but, that third coil remainds a mystery to me.I was talking to Layne Audio several years ago and he said it was a 3.6 mh coil. Anyone confirm that? Thanks, Ed
rrcrain
I haven't looked at it in a while, but there is a schematic of the AR9 crossover in the library section of this web site.
Pete B
I tried to figure out the AR-9 crossover some time ago. I believe that the missing inductor is a #9 from what I remember based on pictures posted here. Could read the number right on the inductor.I don't believe that there is a 10 mH inductor manufactured by AR. Owners speak of that big inductor actually being two stacked inductors, which I believe are #10s, also based on the pictures. These do not independently add to 10 mH but there will be mutual coupling when they're stacked, or who knows the schematic could be wrong. There's been talk of one more error in the midrange section, you could probably search to find it.>Hi group,>>Does anyone know what value that unmarked series coil in the>AR 9 woofer section.
