Andy
It's been previously mentioned that Colonial furniture of New Hamphire produced many of the early AR cabinets. Are there any further details known.....what town was Colonial located in, any other known producers?A well preserved AR cabinet is quite a piece of furniture, with quality surpassing any other speaker I can think of, though I do notice that quality did fall of a bit on certain models, example; the early model 2,2x & 2ax had solid hardwood for front trim, but by late 60s, the 2ax cabinet had been changed to wrap-around vineer. Steve F
Pine & Baker of Medfield MA produced many AR cabinets from the mid-60's onward. They are still in business today, a small but very high-quality shop, producing cabinets for Boston Acoustics, Aerial Acoustics, and many other well-known names.Steve F.
