Guest jcmjrt
I have a pair of AR-3s which sound nice and the wood now looks nice but the grills need help. The grille frames are plastic are and broken in a couple of places and the grill cloth is worn around the edges and a little dingy. As to the frames, I was thinking about fiberglass cloth and resin to reinforce the breaks and then try to put them back in without breaking (although that recessed frame sure makes that look like it will be difficult to do and the original reason why the frames are broken). Any other ideas/what have you done?AR-3 cloth - any place that has original grill cloth? I'm guessing not...so...Is there some place with a close looking substitute? I'm the second owner and just guessing that these are the original grilles and cloth but who knows maybe these were replaced years ago too when the controls on the back were replaced (in the early 80's). Thanks for the ideas.

Thanks for the ideas. Those grill supports usually were broken..If you want to repair them, I may have a couple of the original AR3 grill cloth..It was a plastic material and I usually replaced the plastic with a AR3a type beige linen cloth..Dale

Where are you getting the AR3a cloth that you used to replace the AR3 material?
