npt3
Hi all - I've just come in to the very rare Citation Receiver, bought from the original owner. It's in great shape, but IF I developed a problem (not unheard of for a 40+ year old amp!), who's your go-to for repair/rehab?
JKent
Not MA/NH/RI but I highly recommend Tim Schwartz in Ho-Ho-Kus (a real place) NJ. I first learned of Tim from the Tuner Informatin Center. He's mentioned on this page: https://www.fmtunerinfo.com I have been taking vintage equipment to him for over a decade. He is thorough, honest, reasonable and respects the vintage gear. He's a one-man shop, so he's not fast. He's an authorized repair center for McIntosh, Arcam, NAD and others. I can't say enough positive things about him--he's really the best. npt3
Thanks Kent! I was sure it would be you with the save! ? My dad grew up in Linden, so I know that Ho-Ho-Kus is not a mythical land! I'll keep Tim's info on file.
npt3
Parts question: two of the tone control knobs on my new Citation are non-standard replacements (god knows why.) Does anyone a) have a good source of originals or close-to-originals, or b) know of someone who can make reproductions?
