Wild Turkey
Package deal on CL offers a pair of "KLH 612" speakers. I had a pair of big ol' KLH speakers years ago and loved them but lost them in a fire so I'm interested in these speakers. I think I could get the package and sell off the other parts to pay for the whole thing, but I can't find any info on the "612" Can anyone help?? (serial # D04D2625 I think)
JKent
Those aren't classic KLH speakers. They're from after Henry Kloss and after Singer. I never realized KLH was here in NJ for a while but the Model TR-82 table radio (made by Kyocera I believe, in the 1980s) was marked with the Warren, NJ address. Don't know if the 612s are any good but they're not "classic New England loudspeakers." -Kent
Wild Turkey
Thanks. I've learned to be very careful about speaker numbers -- extra digits often mean big changes in quality (usually for the worse.) I'm about to give up my search for some classic speakers (What's going to die from old age next???) and build some new classics.
