Aadams
JIC you don't find exactly what you are looking for, and you are not already aware, you can easily adapt an AR3a mid for use in an AR5? Aadams
BrianO
not aware i thought the 3a's were 4 ohm and the mids for the 5 were 8 ohm?
Aadams
They are 4 ohm but you can add a resistor. There is an AR5 thread in the AR forum where it was discussed as part of options for the AR5 mid and tweeter scarcity. It is quicker to tell you about it than find it. I tried. Probably be better using a google search. Also you could message RoyC. Finally found it. Page 2 of this thread
Pete B
I fabricated this for two main reasons, 1 to prove that the AR sound could be produced with modern drivers, and 2 because replacement parts are getting rare and expensive: http://www.classicspeakerpages.net/IP.Board/index.php?/topic/10245-not-an-ar-15-midrange/&tab=comments#comment-123010 Another is that there are empty boxes as a result of people parting them out that could be brought back to life. Aadams
" to prove that the AR sound could be produced with modern drivers" I agree with this statement so it must be true. Are you sure you meant to post into this thread instead of the "Not a an AR 1.5......." thread ?
