Jafo
I have a set of vintage floor speakers my wife and I got from her dad years ago. I got back into vinyl and drug this stuff out only knowing her dad bought top of the line stuff. These speakers have no identification on them. So I don't know what brand or model they are. They are wood cabinet speakers I'd guess early 70's. I am scared to try and pull the front screens off because I don't know if they do come off. The question I have is they have two tggle switches on the back. They are marked midrange and hi-freq. with negative and positive positions. How are these suppose to be set up? The reciever is a Marantz 4240 "stereo 2 + Quadradial 4". Can I get some insight as to how these switches are suppose to be setup?
Aadams
You should supply photos of front and back of the speakers if you want more help.. If they are ARs they are no earlier than 1979 IMO.
