Hi all, I'm new to the forum, so I apologize if this is not the right place to post this question.
I have a KLH Model 20 that I inherited from my dad. No real issues at all for the 50+ years we've been using until the other day. I had just started to play an album -- Zeppelin IV, in case that's relevant -- when it gave a loud bang and white smoke started pouring out.
I would welcome any advice on what might have happened and how I can fix it, whether this is a DIY or a job for a pro, etc. I'm in the DC area and it looks like the only remaining repair shop nearby is in the process of shutting down, although there are some around Baltimore.
