  1. Hey Stimpy, yeah, I double checked with my DMM. It read open, unfortunately. I was hoping to be able to find an original tweeter on eBay or on a marketplace. I did find two new old stock from ‘98 on USaudiomart that someone has listed for $125. I feel like that would be a hell of a buy if they’re indeed working. Thanks for the info on the vertical series tweeters. I’ll add them to my saved searches on eBay. Gratitude, Caleb
  2. Thanks! Also the wiring was wrong on the attenuation switches. It was a quick fix! Thank you for the info! Those are the ones I had my eyes on
  3. Thank you for the reminder images. The first one I have not seen before and looks like it will be very helpful in going over the crossovers. any recommendation on a replacement tweeter? MW has one I seen. So does simplyspeakers? I think. thanks for the info, Caleb
  4. I just recently bought a pair of AR9 speakers. I rebuilt the crossovers in the speakers and I’m still having an issue with one of them. The tweeter is shot in one of them.. but, the tweeter attenuation switch is controlling the upper midrange when it is used. Is this normal?? Or do you think someone got the wires switched around? The upper midrange switch is doing nothing when it is switched. I can figure out what is going on with it. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be the resistors? i replaced the 24uf cap with 2 12uf caps in parallel if that changes anything? It was doing this before the crossover got rebuilt though. Keep that in mind. I want to buy a new tweeter to replace the one that is burnt out, but not before figuring this problem out. I feel as if it will do me no good to order one without the speaker working properly. I’m $650 deep in these and I don’t want to use them for firewood but I will if I need to
