Hi everyone - I realize this is an older thread but am hoping some of you are still active and can provide information for me. I purchased KLH Model 5s back in 1976 from Warehouse Sound. (Those were fun days - the first of the on-line shopping). Anyway, several years ago one of the woofers turned into gunk and I was going to purchase a kit to re-do it. I pulled the speaker and of course, can't find it. I'm in the process of putting a new fabric on the front of them and replacing the woofer. As many of you are aware, the KLH 5s used the round magnet as opposed to the square one. My question is: Do most of the woofers with the square magnet work well with my Model 5s? Have any of you changed out just one and noticed a difference? One thought I have is to purchase two with the square magnet to be sure. I don't know if the round magnet produced a better sound. Thoughts? Finally, are any of you aware of a woofer specifically NOT working with the Model 5s? BTW - I just love the specifications of a 10" or 12" woofer. Mine measures 10 3/8" across outside frame. They all appear to be the same? Or not? Andy
