  2. Thanks for the heads up. Will break out the soldiering iron and get to work. ok the resistors look shot and i only see two capacitors on this plate is the item below acceptable for the 2uf replacement?
  3. Yes I have the same model Sherwood and no, it hasn't been serviced in quite some time due to the pandemic. I do have a replacement crossover plate and awaiting a new original tweeter. I think the best route for me right now is to keep the volumes low and replace the old capacitor. I also see some cheaper newer tweeters to install into this classic cabinet ( Replacement Speakers 4.25" Cone Phenolic Ring Tweeter T-135 (simplyspeakers.com) but im sure they don't sound nearly as good.
  4. Looking good.. I have a question about recpping.. what capacitors bands do you recomend>> I have an extra crossover plate and would like to recap that one for future install..i keep blowing the damn tweeters on left channel.. maybe my sherwood tube amp but maybe just old tweets
