I know this thread is old but several years ago but I thought I might be able to help someone else. I had a woofer rebuilt saving the frame & cone by Gabriel Sound in Pompton Lakes NJ. They were the RCF distributor at the time. They replaced the spider and the surround. The spider was sagging and the surround foam had torn.

I did an oops and damaged the mid driver in one of my model A iii speakers. There is now fuzz in the male talking vocal range. I believe I have found a place to either get the driver repaired or replaced but I am at a loss as to how to get the grill cloth assembly off so I can remove the driver? any help? Thank you.

Which A model are they? I have a pair of A IIIs and love them . I did an oops and damaged the midrange on one and am now trying to remove it for repair.
