Would anyone know where I could get voice coils for ar3a alnico woofers thanks simply speakers has recone kits but have heard they don’t work that well also I just need the coils

I actually repaired this mid and sounds great,.I put a fairly strong signal in it while I positioned the flange for alignment and used liquid steel for glue then clamped

Looking to buy an early front wired ar3a mid or a set of others from later ar3as

Would anyone know if this mid from an early front wired ar3a can be repaired

One tweeter broke in shipment,would they be worth refurbishing

Not really concerned about value if they sound ok would it be ok to leave them My problem is I have no idea what a nice pair sounds like so have no reference

Could they be the woofers from Japan that were used often by factory replacements I think tonegan is the brand

Looking for surround sealer (i think).vintage-ar seems to be not available now. Anyone know where i can get what i need?

I also used two crossbraces 1” by like an 1/8 between the woofers and and between the mid and woofer to keep the wood from bowing in when you stretch the fabric.I bought the fabric from simplyspeakers and stapled .i wouldnt use hardwood as to hard to staple

I sanded with 220 than 100 watch the edges as easy to go through veneer. I use watco danish oil stain on all my refinishes. This is light walnut

I also refinished them. They looked like crap before I did but only paid 200$ so can’t complain

I made these grills,cost me 15 for the fabric,used 3/4” wood frame and velcro

Sent them off last week.i was wondering if I should have but you make me feel better for doing so.250$ is quite a chunk.if anything it should make them more reliable.have you done anything with the crossovers such as caps?

Have a nice pair of ads l1290 sound good to me but sent pictures of tweets and mids to richard so, he said they look swollen from overheating. $100 a pair for tweets,150 for mids. Anyone have any advice for me if I should spend the $
